I recently purchased a Yamaha S6 Piano…This is not an ordinary Yamaha piano, but a hand made prototype for the production piano. From the details, this was the final handmade prototype. This instrument is equal and better in many areas then the Steinway B model, which it is often compared to. With this type of instrument I didn’t want to let just anyone touch it. My months-long search led me to Sam Haasenriter. From all the sources I encountered and questioned, they ALL pointed me to Sam. My Yamaha needed complete voicing (since it wasn’t exactly to my liking) and tuning as well as complete cleaning and lubrication of the action etc. Sam allotted 2 days to come to my house and handle this instrument as if it was his own. I can not tell you how happy and pleased I am with the job that Sam did for me. On my recent tuning, he tweaked the hammers again, getting the sound just where I want it to be. Words can not express how happy I am that I found him and that he had the skill, knowledge and touch to get the piano just perfect. I would recommend Sam for ANY PIANO SERVICE NEEDED. He is honest, fair and doesn’t mind explaining what he is doing and having me there during the work, to see if it was what I wanted. Without a doubt, Sam is the ONLY person you want to come near your piano to do ANY type of tuning or work on it. We are so fortunate to have him. 

Sam Hasenritter has been tuning our baby grand piano for over 12 years. In all that time, he has been punctual, courteous, reliable, and overall a complete pleasure to work with. Although we only see each other every 6 months, I consider him a friend and I could not recommend anyone more   

Recently, I purchased a Brodmann CE175. Sam did an outstanding job tuning and voicing this piano. I was about to return the piano when I learned of Sam through the guild site. The piano gained new character after he worked on it. Beautifully tuned. He is incredibly knowledgeable and thoroughly well trained. He is also prompt, pleasant and reasonable. I will continue to use Sam for all future maintenance on my piano. I highly recommend Sam.     

Thank you for the adjustments and tuning on our Yamaha baby grand.  I have had that piano for 25 years and it sounds better now than it ever has.  Your adjustments brought a wonderful rich tone that was missing before.  And you fixed the problem I had for all these years with a note (B an octave below middle C) sticking.  Whenever I hit it, it was as though I had the damper on that note, so it continued to vibrate.  I had had several people work on the piano before and not one knew how to fix it, as you did by putting a differently-configured felt on it.  Again, thanks for such wonderful work – makes it even more enjoyable to play and to hear.  

Sam, I have always been extremely pleased with your tunings.  You are a true professional and I appreciate how you deal with my personal piano as well as my school instrument. I have referred you to numerous people and would not consider having anyone else do my tuning. Thanks for your dedication.

We first met Sam when his services were recommended to us by our piano teacher. We had an old, what we thought was an antique piano that had been passed down to us. We knew it was in desperate need of a tuning, and hoped it could be restored.  Sam came out and was very honest with us about the quality of the piano, or in reality the lack of quality, and that it was in his opinion, that it was not worth the expense of trying to refurbish it. Because he also refurbishes in addition to tuning, we relied on his judgement. He did what he could to make it somewhat playable for 2 small children beginning lessons, but advised against putting any more into it.  Once we were ready to purchase a new piano, Sam directed us to a store that had quality pianos and were easy to work with, and he was right. We were very comfortable doing business there.  We still use Sam to tune our new piano and he is great to work with. I trust his opinion and his skill completely.

Sam the Piano Man has tuned and serviced my older Story & Clark piano with care for the past several years. He has been so accommodating, professional and easy to talk to. He’s also a very good technician. I greatly appreciated his explanation and the completion of his repair of my sustain pedal last year. I highly recommend his services

Sam, thank you so much for the awesome job you did on my piano! It sounds amazing and it feels so good to play! I know it’s going to be enjoyed tomorrow at my Mother’s Day celebration! Last year we had our mothers and even my grandmother and we had sisters and nieces and we had a good gospel sing-along after lunch and it was enjoyed so much we decided to make it happen again this year.
